DIECAST Announces New Bassist; Performance Footage Of New Song Available
February 24, 2009Boston metalcore band DIECAST has announced the addition of bassist Eddie Barton (pictured below) to the group's ranks.
DIECAST has kicked off a string of weekend dates which will run through April. The band says, "[the shows have] all been amazing so far... It's great seeing familiar faces and new ones in the crowd!"
DIECAST recently parted ways with Century Media Records. According to the group, "This was a mutual decision by both of us, and is going to be 100% better in the long run for both parties. We would like to thank CM for everything they did for us and wish them well in all future endeavors."
The band added, "[Last] summer, we funded and recorded a four-song demo with our longtime producer Paul Trust, and we are currently shopping it to labels. We've already been contacted by a few labels that are very impressed with the songs and we believe we'll have a new home before the end of March 2009, and you all know what that means??? Yes, new album and touring!"
Two new DIECAST songs from the above-mentioned four-song demo — "Sanctified" and "Disconnect" — are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.
DIECAST greatly expanded its already diehard fan base after two massive North American tours alongside SEVENDUST, in addition to breaking through to Active Rock radio with the "Fade Away" and "Nothing I Could Say" singles.
Video footage of DIECAST performing new song "Sanctified" on February 20, 2009 in Taunton, Massachusetts can be viewed below.
